My friend Josh Roth turned me onto this sweet band from Syracuse recently. OK, his girlfriend plays the violin with them, but after I heard their EP I was very impressed. They describe themselves as "a good-natured dance band-machine, based very broadly on the recently redrafted Actualists' manifesto. Through the use of ancient wooden instruments as well as those conceived/fabricated since the industrial revolution, we strive to spread jams across the nation, starting with the inside of your head. We've seen the top of the mountain, we've tasted fruits of interestingly colored trees grown only in the third dimension, we've got intentions to rock you. Word up." Me sees big things for this band in the near future.

I set the program initially to try to lose 1/2 pound a week.
